In an attempt to place computer technology and learning into the hands of children in poverty-stricken countries, there's a new program being launched on November 12, 2007 called "One Laptop Per Child." With this program, any individual or family can buy a laptop computer designed specifically for the hard wear and tear of small, dusty villages with little access to the wired-up world, as well as with the needs of children in mind. For $399. ($200 tax-deductible), the donor sends one computer to a child somewhere in the world and receives one for his/her own family (which can then be donated, if the donor family chooses) to another computer-less child.

This is a marvelous program with few drawbacks, and a win-win future for children throughout the world. Please participate and, in so doing, give a child you may never meet and whose name you may never know, a better chance to learn, grow and thrive in today's fast-paced technological world.

Simply go to the link in our "links" section of this website and look for www.xogiving.org. You will be blessed many times over. Thank you!
