Last week, we received by email an open letter from Ram Dass, Jack Kornfield and Sharon Salzberg (all spiritual teachers of great reknown) telling us that Stephen and Ondrea Levine (also spiritual teachers of deep heart and great integrity) are in failing health (Ondrea has leukemia), and the costs of their health insurance and Ondrea's chemtotherapy have used up all of their savings.

For some years, Stephen and Ondrea ran a telephone line for those who were dying or in need of support. When the phone bills ran too high, they sold their house to continue their service to those in need.

Now it's Stephen's and Ondrea's time of need, and our chance to be of service to them. The circle, as the open letter reads, "has come around."

If you are moved to send donations to benefit Stephen and Ondrea, please send to Bread for the Journey (Wayne Muller's non-profit organization, which has pledged to give all donations directly to the Levines) at 267 Miller Avenue, Mill Valley, Ca, 94941. Indicate that your gift is for the "Levine Fund."
