Opening to Inner Wisdom
Sarasota, Florida

"Be here now." We hear these words spoken by spiritual teachers from all traditions. From time to time, we even manage a glimpse of this centered state of being. When we can truly reside in the present moment, we find true freedom from the thoughts that produce unhappiness and suffering. We even enjoy a deep peace that is reflective of our true nature.

To be present, we must learn to let go of fears, judgments, assumptions and attachments that keep our minds locked into the past and future. But letting go never seems easy. However, if we trust that the perfect teacher is our higher self and open to its wisdom and guidance, we already know what we need to let go of and how to let it happen. Waiting just below the threshold of consciousness, the quiet voice of our inner knowing beckons to us, leads us back to the present, helps us access the wisdom it offers, and generates the peace and joy we yearn for.

Winter Robinson

Winter Robinson

is internationally  recognized as a medical intuitive adept at developing and facilitating the intuitive process as a complement to medical diagnosis and treatment.

A licensed therapist and medical clairvoyant, Winter once headed a pilot project at Brown University Medical School integrating the use of intuition in the diagnostic process. She is the author of A Hidden Order: Uncover Your Life's Design, Intuitions: Seeing with the Heart and Remembering: A Gentle Reminder of Who You Are. Winter has also created a series of guided imagery CDs to help the listener with the reduction of stress and deepen the alliance with the source of inner wisdom.

Michael Robinson

Michael Robinson

is a former corporate executive who grew increasingly fascinated with the mysteries of the human mind. Pursuing his interest in many spiritual traditions, he lived for a brief time in a Taoist monastery as he explored work with energy. In the early nineties, he joined forces with Winter to co-facilitate programs and retreats in "Discovering Intuition" and expanded states of awareness in a wide variety of international organizations and mental health institutions.

Together, Michael and Winter are increasingly focused on teaching self-development, intuition development, creativity, and stress management in institutional and corporate settings. Their shared excitement lies in the deeper spiritual significance of the times we are passing through and the part each of us is called to play in these changing times.

About the Retreat

In this highly experiential retreat, we will discover effective ways of being connected to this ever-present source of wisdom and guidance. With soft music piped through individual headsets, we'll practice a series of guided imagery exercises designed to create deep relaxation.  Once relaxed, we learn to observe our thoughts without "following" them, being distracted by them or speculating on their meaning. We notice that thoughts silence our intuition and inhibit our creativity. We expand awareness of the silent spaces between our thoughts, and in this expanded state of being, we're able to change our perspective of events around us.

At the end of this retreat, we will be able to:
  • learn how we get caught up in our thoughts
  • learn how to allow "letting them go"
  • distinguish the inner voice from that of the ego
  • reconnect with our inner source of wisdom
  • apply this inner wisdom to our personal and professional lives
  • meet the challenges of our lives more creatively and effectively!

This retreat is intended for:

  • those who serve families, communities, churches and institutions (elders, nurses, social workers/therapists, teachers and clergy)
  • people committed to their personal, emotional and spiritual growth
  • those who seek a deeper connection with a source of inner wisdom
  • anyone who has "hit bottom" and longs to find a path to new life
  • people interested in seeing the world through "new eyes"
  • those who long to be fully alive and connected to life in all forms!
